The Arkansas Department of Health lifted the Boil Order for parts of the Valley Springs Waterworks after a waterline was broken during a construction project. The water has been tested and cleared by the department to use as normal.
Meanwhile, a watermain break has forced an order to now be posted for part of the Mockingbird Hill Water Association for customers along Highway 7 south of the intersection with Asia Point Road.
Customers are advised that tap water may be unsafe for consumption until further notice. Water should be brought to a brisk boil for at least one minute before being used for drinking, cooking, food preparation, brushing teeth, or making beverages.
Officials also recommend discarding any ice made from tap water during the affected period and replacing it with ice made from properly treated water.
