Welcome to MoArk News Now. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MoArkNewsNow.com and any related websites, mobile applications, newsletters, podcasts, videos, social media channels and digital services that link to these Terms.

MoArk News Now is operated by Ozarks Dynacom, referred to in these Terms as “MoArk News Now,” “MoArk,” “we,” “us” or “our.”

By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

1. About MoArk News Now

MoArk News Now is a multimedia news organization serving Southwest Missouri and North Central Arkansas.

We provide local and regional news, public information, community coverage, weather information, sports coverage, obituaries, podcasts, video, advertising and other content through multiple media platforms.

2. Informational and Editorial Purposes

Our news stories, articles, videos, podcasts, weather information, event listings and other content are provided for general informational purposes.

We work to provide timely and accurate information. However, developing news can change quickly, and we do not guarantee that every item will always be complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Information published by MoArk News Now is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, emergency or other specialized advice.

For emergencies, severe weather instructions, evacuation orders, public-safety warnings or other urgent matters, follow information from law enforcement, emergency management agencies, the National Weather Service and other appropriate public authorities. Call 911 when immediate emergency assistance is needed.

3. Corrections and Updates

MoArk News Now may update, clarify, correct or remove published material as new information becomes available.

A correction may be added to an article, incorporated into the article or addressed through a separate update. The form of the correction will depend on the circumstances and the significance of the change.

Requests for corrections may be submitted through our Contact page or sent to scottmccaulley@ozarksdynacom.com. Please include the story title, publication date, web address and a clear explanation of the requested correction.

Submitting a correction request does not guarantee that a change will be made.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the content published through MoArk News Now—including articles, headlines, photographs, graphics, logos, videos, audio recordings, page designs, databases and other materials—is owned by or licensed to MoArk News Now and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may:

• Read, watch or listen to our content for personal, noncommercial use.
• Share links to our publicly available stories.
• Use the social-sharing tools provided on our website.
• Quote brief portions of our reporting when accompanied by proper attribution and a link to the original story, when legally permitted.

You may not, without prior written permission:

• Republish an entire article, obituary, photograph, video, podcast transcript or other substantial portion of our content.
• Copy our content into another website, application, newsletter, database, artificial-intelligence system or commercial product.
• Remove copyright notices, credits, watermarks or other ownership information.
• Sell, license or commercially exploit our content.
• Use automated systems to scrape, harvest, download or reproduce substantial portions of the website.
• Present MoArk content in a way that falsely suggests an endorsement, partnership or affiliation.

5. User Submissions, News Tips and Uploaded Materials

MoArk News Now may allow users to submit news tips, photographs, videos, documents, event information, comments, letters, announcements or other materials.

By submitting material, you represent that:

• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You own the material or have permission to submit it.
• Publication will not violate another person’s copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual or other legal rights.
• The material is not knowingly false, defamatory, threatening, unlawful or misleading.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you grant MoArk News Now a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, distribute, display, promote and otherwise use the submitted material in connection with our reporting and multimedia services.

We are not required to publish any submission. We may edit, decline, remove or archive submitted material at our discretion.

Confidential sources and tips

Confidentiality is not automatic.

If you are requesting confidential treatment, state that clearly before providing sensitive information. MoArk News Now must expressly agree to confidentiality. Merely submitting information through a form, email address, social media account or messaging service does not create a confidential-source relationship.

Do not submit information through ordinary forms or email when disclosure could place you or another person at risk without first contacting our newsroom to discuss an appropriate communication method.

6. Obituaries, Announcements and Community Information

Obituaries, funeral notices, event listings, community announcements and similar materials may be submitted by funeral homes, families, organizations or other third parties.

MoArk News Now may edit these submissions for spelling, formatting, length, clarity and consistency. The submitting person or organization remains responsible for the accuracy of names, dates, locations, service information and other supplied details.

Publication does not constitute MoArk News Now’s independent verification or endorsement of every statement contained in a third-party submission.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use our services to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Harass, threaten, impersonate or defraud another person.
• Submit knowingly false or defamatory information.
• Upload malicious code, viruses or harmful software.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or accounts.
• Interfere with website operation, security or availability.
• Collect personal information about other users without authorization.
• Circumvent access restrictions, security tools or usage limits.
• Use automated bots or scraping tools in a manner that burdens our systems or reproduces substantial amounts of content.
• Submit content that infringes another party’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
• Misrepresent your identity, affiliation or authority to speak for another organization.

We may suspend access, block activity, remove material or take other appropriate action when we believe these Terms have been violated.

8. Advertising, Sponsorships and Paid Content

MoArk News Now may display advertising, sponsored messages, affiliate links, branded content or other paid promotional material.

Paid or sponsored content may be identified with labels such as:

• Promotional Content

The presence of advertising does not necessarily mean MoArk News Now endorses the advertiser, its products, services, claims or business practices.

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their advertising materials, offers and claims. Any transaction between you and an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.

Editorial decisions remain separate from advertising relationships unless content is clearly identified as sponsored or paid.

Our services may link to websites, social media platforms, streaming services, app stores, advertisers, public agencies and other third-party resources.

MoArk News Now does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, privacy practices, products, services or content.

10. Newsletters, Alerts and Communications

You may have the option to subscribe to newsletters, breaking-news alerts, push notifications, text messages or other communications.

By subscribing, you agree to receive the communications you selected. Message and data rates may apply to text or mobile services.

You may unsubscribe from email communications through the link included in the email. Device notifications may generally be changed through your browser, application or device settings.

Operational messages—such as service, security or account notices—may still be sent when reasonably necessary.

11. Mobile Applications

MoArk News Now may offer mobile applications through Apple, Google or other app-distribution platforms.

Your use of an application may also be subject to the terms, privacy practices and technical requirements of the applicable app store, mobile carrier and device provider.

Features may change, and some services may not be available on every device, operating system or geographic location.

13. Copyright Complaints

MoArk News Now respects the intellectual-property rights of others.
