The Branson Pirates win at Rolla started with two special teams touchdowns, Will Wilson’s 95 yard return of the opening kickoff and later in the first, an 85 yard punt return TD by Tred Houston. Rolla began answering touchdowns but could never get closer than seven points. After Rolla scored a touchdown on their opening possession of the second half, the Pirates scored the games final 21 points to seal the win. Noah McCright had two scores, including a 69-yard run in the second quarter while Wilson added a TD along with two scores by Vincente Pastrana in the 49-20 win.
Meanwhile in Harrison, the Goblins and Bombers played to a scoreless first half tie followed by a pick-six by the Goblins to grab a second half lead, only to see Mountain Home score the games final 28 points to secure the win. The Goblins committed five turnovers in the second half that help set-up the Bombers to win the rivalry game for the fourth year in a row.
Among other MOARK Schools, the closest game was for Forsyth, who led much of the night against the host Marionville Comets, but gave up a touchdown in the final minute as the Panthers fell 30-26.
Hollister and Reeds Spring had their home openers spoiled Friday, the Tigers by Sarcoxie 43-0 and the Wolves by Marshfield 50-6.
