The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on Jasmine Road, about four miles south of Billings near the Christian-Stone County Line.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the man was driving the pickup eastbound when it crested a hill and went airborne.
The pickup traveled off the right side of the road and struck several trees. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. The report said the man was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene around 7:30 p.m. .
The Christian County and Stone County sheriff’s offices assisted at the scene.
According to the patrol, the death marked Troop D’s 92nd fatality of 2026.
