According to the report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision took place just after Noon three miles west of Kimberling City near Mill Creek when a boat driven by a 68-year-old St. Charles man did not see a boat that was stationary and hit it broadside.
A passenger in the moving boat, a 67-year-old woman from St. Charles, sustained moderate injuries and was taken Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The driver of the moving boat as well as the occupant of the stationary boat, a 78-year-old man from Kimberling City, were not injured according to the report.
The report also indicates that each boat sustained minor to moderate damage and both were able to be driven from the scene of the crash.
