According to online court records, Kyle Mundy is charged with shooting at or from a motor vehicle at a person, motor vehicle or building and unlawful use of a weapon.
Hollister police said in a probable cause statement that officers responded to a report of shots fired at approximately around 9:15 Thursday night.
A woman told officers that Mundy drove to her residence, displayed a firearm, raised it into the air and fired one round, according to the statement.
A neighbor who initially contacted authorities told officers he saw a vehicle pull up near the residence and then heard and/or observed a gunshot. The neighbor said the vehicle immediately left the area.
The Taney County Sheriff’s Office and Hollister Police Department worked together to locate Mundy, who was subsequently taken into custody.
According to the probable cause statement, Mundy initially denied being in the area at the time of the incident. Investigators said he later changed his account and acknowledged being in the area at approximately the same time the alleged shooting occurred.
Mundy remains in the Taney County Jail without bond.
