Veteran Lakes Region journalist Tim Church is returning to where he began his career covering the region.
Church, who worked with the radio stations now part of Ozarks Dynacom from 2015 to 2018, is rejoining the company to lead the recently launched MoArk News Now.
A native of Alton, Missouri, Church graduated from College of the Ozarks in 2013. He later returned to his home area and worked for Ozarks Radio News in West Plains before joining the news team at Earls Family Broadcasting in March 2015. There, he served as a morning news anchor and reporter.
After leaving radio news, Church joined the Branson Tri-Lakes News as a reporter in January 2019. During his tenure with the newspaper, he went on to serve as entertainment editor and later managing editor.
Church has received awards for his work in both radio and newspaper journalism.
He also has a history of working with MY 100.1 Morning Show Host Josh Grisham. The two co-founded the social media outlet Nerd Informants and teamed up to provide online coverage of Hollister Tiger Football for Ozarks Dynacom’s MOARK Sports website.
For the past two years, Church has served as sales and marketing manager for WonderWorks Branson.
Church lives in Hollister with his wife, Ashley.
In his new position, Church will lead MoArk News Now, Ozarks Dynacom’s recently launched news platform that brings reporting from the company’s radio station websites together in one location.
His return marks a homecoming of sorts, bringing Church back to radio news and to the stations where he began covering the Lakes Region more than a decade ago.
Tim Church says about his joining MoArk News Now:
“This community truly means so much to me. I fell in love with this region of the Ozarks during my time as a student at College of the Ozarks and have proudly called it my home for more than a decade now. Being asked to lead MoArk News Now is a responsibility I embrace wholeheartedly and I am honored to have been chosen for this role. I am ecstatic to be returning to where my Branson media career began, and for the journey, discovery and growth we’ll all experience in the months to come. My goal as a journalist has always been quite straight-forward, ‘Write stories that are of service to the community and provide a voice to those who also wish to serve.’ And that’s precisely what we’ll accomplish as MoArk News Now is established as the region’s trusted source for free, in-depth and breaking, respected, community-focused local news coverage.”
