According to releases from the City of Hollister and the Missouri Department of Transportation, the meeting discussing the Business 65 Bridge Replacement Project over the MNA Railroad will take place at the Hollister Community Center Train Depot on Thursday October 22 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
The releases say the meeting is a come and go style exhibit where people may see maps of the project and ask questions of MODOT officials.
According to the MODOT Release, the bridge project is expected to begin in the Summer of 2027 and will replace the existing bridge built in 1937 between Esplanade Road and Whitehall Street with a new bridge that will be 6 feet 7 inches wider and 37 feet longer and include a pedestrian walkway on the north side of the bridge.
MODOT expects Business 65 over the railroad to be closed for up to two weeks during construction while the intersection of Business 65 and Esplanade is expected to be closed for up to four months.
