The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) is inviting restaurant owners, managers, food service operators, and community members to attend community forums to obtain feedback on the 2026 U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Code.
The Health Department is working towards adopting the updated code and the forums will provide an opportunity to learn about the 2026 FDA Food Code, understand changes to food safety standards, ask questions, and provide feedback. TCHD is committed to helping local food service establishments and the public understand what the updated code means for food safety in Taney County.
“Our goal is to make this process open and collaborative,” said Erica Logsdon, Environmental Health Manager with the Taney County Health Department. “We want restaurant owners, managers, and the public to have the opportunity to understand what is changing, ask questions, and provide feedback on the 2026 FDA Food Code. Community input is an important part of making sure we are moving forward with food safety standards that are clear, practical, and beneficial to our community and visitors.”
Three community forums are scheduled at the following locations:
Monday, October 19, 2026 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. City of Hollister 312 Esplanade Drive, Hollister, MO
