Fire agencies from around the region joined forces early Tuesday morning in response to a fire at Branson View RV Park.
Western Taney County Fire Protection District Division Chief of Fire Prevention Ted Martin reported the initial call came in as an RV on fire. On scene personnel reported a large RV was fully involved upon arrival of first units. A second alarm was initiated for manpower and water supply due to the fire being in an area without fire hydrants.
Branson Fire Rescue and Southern Stone County Fire Protection District responded to the call for mutual aid. Upon their arrival to the scene, Branson Fire Rescue found two travel trailers and a nearby vehicle burning and immediately began working to extinguish the fire, according to a release from Branson MO Fire-Rescue.
Western Taney County Firefighters established an additional water supply to support continued firefighting operations and assumed incident command as additional resources arrived on scene. Branson Fire Rescue Engine 10 Firefighters worked to quickly knock down the bulk of the flames while Battalion 1 coordinated with responding agencies and requested Engine 30 for additional support.
“Crews worked together to check for hidden fire, extinguish remaining hot spots and ensure the fire was fully out before clearing the scene,” Branson-Fire Rescue stated in the release. “Thank you to Western Taney County Fire Protection District and Southern Stone County Fire Protection District for their response and partnership. Working together helps us serve our communities when help is needed most. Our thoughts are with those affected by this fire.”
Martin confirmed to MoArk News Now there were no injuries.
