Energetic crowds filled the Branson Landing promenade to catch their first glimpse of Silver Dollar City’s 50-Foot Grand Fir and to take in a festive Halloween morning parade.
Branson’s Trick or Tree Parade celebrated the arrival of the 1880s theme park’s 2026 Christmas tree following a 2,000-mile journey to Branson from Portland, Oregon. Attendees were given opportunities to experience and take photos with the Grand Fir, which was secured along the back of a flat-bed semi-trailer parked in front of Paula Dean’s Family Kitchen.
Dressed in Halloween costumes, spectators lined the promenade as the inaugural parade launched from the north side of the Branson Landing. Featured in the parade were two of the screen used vehicles from the film “Twisters” from the Celebrity Car Museum, Branson’s Pink Jeeps, Arvest Bank, a Halloween and Christmas crossover float and characters from Field of Screams, the Grinch Jeep, WonderWorks Branson with Professor Wonder, the Branson Police Department with their K-9 Units, Elite Sitework, Branson Fire Rescue and Silver Dollar City’s featured entertainers and vehicles, and more.
Following the parade, SDC’s Grand Fir received a police escort to down 76 Country Blvd. to the theme park where it will be decorated with nearly 30,000 lights and serve as the centerpiece of a nightly tree lighting ceremony from Saturday, November 7 through Saturday, January 2, during An Old Time Christmas festival.
