Boone County officially lifted its burn ban Friday morning. The announcement was made on the Boone County Judge’s Facebook Page.
Newton and Searcy Counties have also lifted their bans while Carroll, Madison, and Marion Counties still have their bans in place.
The Arkansas Department of Agriculture still has all 75 counties at a High Wildfire Risk due to continued dry conditions.
As the rainfall leaves the region today, currently the National Weather Service has no rain in the forecast for the next seven days.
The entire region in both Arkansas and Missouri remain at various levels of drought due to the overall dry conditions that remain in the region. The highest level of drought current exists in areas north west of a Branson-Alpena line covering all or most of Barry, Stone, and Taney Counties in Missouri along with Carroll and Madison Counties in Arkansas.
