The majority of the presentation by Public Works/Engineering Director Michael Woods dealt with moving forward with the next two sections of the West 76 Country Blvd. Project. Woods presentation talked about the financing of the project as well as the plans that will move forward starting this month.

The project scope follows the same pattern of the previous sections including the relocating of utilities underground and the improvement of sidewalks for safety, accessibility, and making them ADA Compliant. The project will also feature a gateway sign similar to the one that was installed as part of the Downtown Project.

The area of construction will be west of the Gretna Road intersection near the Ferris Wheel to the area just west of the intersection with Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.

The other two projects Woods presented included the bid award for redesigning of the intersection of Branson Hills Parkway and Commercial Street as well as adding new stop signs installed in Hiawatha Heights and near the new Public Safety Building into city code.
