Facilities near the Table Rock Dam are set to reopen today after Sunday’s strong thunderstorm damaged areas around the Dewey Short Visitor’s Center and the Table Rock Project Office.
A release from the Little Rock District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said many trees were down in the area and the buildings damaged as was a nearby boat dock. The corps closed the buildings on Monday so crews could clean up the debris and make repairs.
Nearby Branson Fire Station Number Four reported a 63 MPH Gust to the National Weather Service as the storm moved through the area.
The storms also generated strong winds in the rest of the Lake Region including in Carroll County, where a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for a time.
