George Leon Wilder, age 70, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on October 22, 2026. He entered this life on July 21, 1956, in Sacramento, California, the son of Robert Wilder and Gloria Teehee. George was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Greg Wilder and Bobby Wilder; and a granddaughter.
George was a man who found joy in the simple things in life and had a love for the things that made him happy. He enjoyed Harley-Davidsons, listening to music, spending time surrounded by nature, and relaxing while watching his favorite television show, Gunsmoke, along with other classic Westerns.
Whether it was the rumble of a Harley, the sound of a favorite song, the peace of the outdoors, or the familiar stories of the Old West, George appreciated the things that brought comfort and happiness to his life.
He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for the memories they shared, the moments that made them smile, and the lasting impression he leaves behind. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories of George and the things he loved will live on in the hearts of those who hold him dear.
His memory will forever be cherished, and he will never be forgotten.
George is survived by five children: Katherine Wilder of Walnut Shade, Missouri, Billie Jo Wilder of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, Heather (Heath) Cox of Fort Drum, New York, Christopher Cook of Springfield, Missouri, and Russell Wilder of Forsyth, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Henry Cox, Brady Cox, McKenna Cox, Alexandra Cox, Clayton Wilder, Lexi Wilder, Marshall, Levi, and Joseph Miller; and brother, Billy Wilder of Forsyth, Missouri.
