Lauri Rottmayer, director of Main Street Harrison, was a guest on Around the Table on Thursday, October 8th. She discussed their upcoming holiday open house, which will take place downtown November 5-8 and will include a tree lighting on Thursday, November 5th, at 6 p.m. Along with the open house, the choir from Hillcrest will also carol around the square. Participating businesses will have special discounts throughout the weekend for holiday shoppers.
Main Street Harrison is in the process of becoming accredited and Lauri noted its goal is to inform citizens about the history of the downtown commercial buildings while promoting revitalization and preservation of the area. During their 2026-27 grant cycle, one grant was given to The Made To Play Foundation for the installation of an overhead garage door. Another grant was used to help Peaceful Massage put up an awning.
