A Branson man already awaiting trial on a Taney County murder charge is now facing additional charges across the Missouri-Arkansas state line.
Court records indicate that 38-year-old Rusty Harvey of Branson has been charged in Boone County with Abuse of a Corpse and Arson.
The charges stem from the death of Eric Williamson. Authorities allege Harvey shot and killed Williamson in Hollister in 2021. Prosecutors further claim that Harvey then transported Williamson’s body into Arkansas, where he set fire to both the body and the victim’s vehicle.
Harvey remains incarcerated in the Taney County Jail while awaiting trial on the Missouri murder charge. His trial is currently scheduled to begin in October.
