A frontal system approaching the Ozarks could lead to unstable weather.
The National Weather Services says the Lakes Region is at a Marginal Risk for the development of severe thunderstorms this evening into early Tuesday morning. The main threat from the storms would be strong winds and brief tornados according to forecasters.
Rain will move out of the area by Tuesday evening with cool and dry conditions expected the rest of the week with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
The overall dry conditions do remain in the Lakes Region with the latest Drought Monitor Map showing much of the Lakes Region at a high drought level.
