A cold front pushed through the Lakes Region on Wednesday, bringing a few severe thunderstorms to the area.

While much of the Missouri Lakes Region received little, if any, rainfall, storms intensified as they moved into northern Arkansas. The strengthening storms prompted a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the region, along with two Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in Marion County. One-inch hail was reported near the Summit area.

In the wake of the front, cooler temperatures and lower humidity will settle into the region for the next couple of days. Highs are expected to range from the upper 80s to the lower 90s before another surge of heat arrives over the weekend and continues into next week.

Little to any rain is in the forecast for the next seven days according to weather forecasters.
