As previously reported, a Galena man was injured in a motorcycle crash at the Hollister roundabout near the Lake Taneycomo bridges leading into Branson. According to the crash report, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound late Friday night when he traveled off the roadway and overturned.

A subsequent arrest report indicates that the driver, 40-year-old Dustin Short of Galena, has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Short was initially released at the scene and transported to Cox Medical Center Branson for treatment of moderate injuries.

In a separate incident, a Springfield woman is facing charges following a fatal crash near Rogersville that claimed the life of an Ozark woman.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred early Sunday morning when a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Alyssa Vanorsdel struck a mailbox. The impact caused the mailbox to strike a passenger who was partially outside the vehicle. The passenger, a 25-year-old Ozark woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
