Thomas “Tom” Marion Alexander, born May 9, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on October 5, 2026, after a short illness. The son of Hugh and Marion Alexander, Tom lived a life centered on love, family, and appreciating the simple joys of life.
Tom was a devoted husband to his wife, Gloria Alexander, and a loving, patient father to their daughters: Monique Lloyd of Forsyth, April Silva of Forsyth, Alex Alexander of Branson, and Tiffani Claussen of Branson.
He was a proud grandfather to Chastity Stewart-Critten and her husband David Critten, of Branson; Patrick Stewart and Kennedy of Sedalia; Anthony Alexander of Little Rock; Kyler Claussen of Springfield; Kalissa Claussen and Angelo of Springfield; and Kinsey Claussen and Drue of Overland Park. He also delighted in his eight great-grandchildren.
Tom was truly the epitome of a family man. His greatest happiness came from time spent with the people he loved, whether gathered around the table for Friday night cards and family game nights, traveling together, or simply enjoying one another’s company.
A gifted builder who enjoyed working with his hands, Tom built a cabin with his father and added a second story and multiple expansions to his homes over the years. He also loved shopping for-and buying-new cars, watching old Westerns, doodling and drawing, playing poker with the guys, taking vacations, and going to the movies.
Tom had a special appreciation for nature and animals. During many of his final days, he found wonder and peace watching the butterflies and hummingbirds outside the living room window- a gentle reflection of the quiet beauty he noticed and treasured throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Marion Alexander; his brother Leroy Alexander; his beloved mother-in-law, Jeanne St. Clair; and his grandson, Joshua Stewart.
Tom will be remembered for his devotion, patience, creativity, and deep love for his family. His steady presence and the countless memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
