According to a post from the Central Crossing Fire Protection District, they were one of multiple units dispatched to the Mill Street area to battle several blazes.
Cassville Fire Protection District Chief Derek Acheson tells Ozarks First that the initial call was for an outdoor fire with the fire spreading quickly to three nearby houses.
Acheson said that one house was a total loss while the two others were damaged,
Acheson added that the Missouri State Fire Marshall has completed an investigation and determined that combustible material in the backyard of one of the homes caught fire and quickly spread to that structure.
Cassville and Central Crossing were joined on the scene by personnel from Butterfield, Eagle Rock, Exeter, Monett, and Purdy.
