The council took less than a half hour to take care of the few items on the agenda, including the rescinding of Plat Approvals for the Stonehedge and Tanglewood Subdivisions.
The city had originally approved the plats for these properties as allowed by law though they were outside the city limits. State law changed in 2025 that took away that jurisdiction and with the property owners needing to work through other procedures on the property, the city and owners agreed to make the rescinding official.
The council also approved the updating of the City’s Fire Codes on the recommendation of Fire Chief Marc Lowery.
