Another dry week in the Lakes Region leads to expanding drought conditions.

The in areas of Exceptional Drought, many ponds and small streams are dry or very low and wildfire conditions are hazardous.
In Arkansas, areas northwest of a Bull Shoals to Harrison line are at an Extreme Drought Level. That includes northern Marion County, most of Boone, Carroll and Madison Counties. The rest of northern Arkansas, including the Buffalo National River Area, are at Moderate or Abnormally Dry Levels.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Vance will bring a chance of rain on Saturday with another frontal system brining more rain chances to the Lakes Region on Tuesday.
