Sylvia Anne Price, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Kirbyville, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her children.
Born on December 5, 1953, in Tucson, Arizona, to Archie and Lily Turner, Sylvia’s life was filled with the love of family and the many memories made along the way.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Glenwood Price. While her passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing she has been reunited with the one who held such a special place in her heart.
Sylvia leaves behind her younger sister, Loretta Jamison, and younger brother, Ronnie Turner; her eight children and their spouses: Paula Turner, Shawn and Missy Price, Martha and Mark Westergaard, Jeffrey and Tabby Price, Steven and Jennifer Price, Brian Thrash, Robin Turner, and Sarah and Justin Langston.
A special place in Sylvia’s heart belonged to her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Joe Lykins, whose love, kindness, and unwavering care brought her comfort throughout her final years. Sylvia held a deep love and respect for Joe, trusting him to help guide her medical decisions and advocate for her wishes. The love and devotion Rebecca and Joe showed her will forever be remembered with heartfelt gratitude by her family.
Sylvia was also blessed with 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, each a special part of the family and love she leaves behind.
Of all the things Sylvia will be remembered for, perhaps the sweetest will be her hugs. She had a way of wrapping her arms around you and holding on just a little longer, as though she never wanted to let go. Those hugs were filled with a love that needed no words, and they will be missed more than words could ever express.
Though her arms can no longer hold those she loved, the warmth of her hugs will remain in their hearts forever.
Memorial contributions in Sylvia’s honor may be made to Integrity Hospice Springfield Missouri.
Services and interment will be Monday, November 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
