The commission conducts training and presentations throughout Arkansas for organizations, agencies and members of the public. Its programs cover subjects including fair housing and fair lending laws, housing management practices and accessibility requirements.
According to information released from the state, fair housing laws are intended to protect people from discrimination when renting or buying a home, obtaining housing-related financing and participating in other housing activities.
The Arkansas Fair Housing Commission provides education and training on federal and state fair housing laws, including requirements involving reasonable accommodations and modifications and compliance with housing regulations.
