For teams covered by MOARK Sports, it was a one win night which for Missouri teams, meant the end of the season for those that fell in the opening round of the District Playoffs.

The winner on Friday night was the Branson Pirates, as they took advantage of good field position during the entire game, and rolled by the Willard Tigers 49-8. The Pirates only started all but three possessions in Tiger territory in earning the win, which sends them to Neosho for the District Semifinals next Friday.

For the other three MOARK schools, two of the teams who lost stayed close in their games for a time.

Reeds Spring was tied at Mt Vernon at the half, only to see the Mountaineers score the games final 27 points in a 41-14 win.

Meanwhile Forsyth, playing at Mtn View-Liberty in a rematch of last year’s District Championship Game, stayed close to the Eagles during the early part of the game, but mistakes hurt the Panthers as the home team took control and earned a 58-28 win.

The team with the toughest night was the Hollister Tigers, who were shutout for the sixth time in 10 games this season, dropping a 69-0 decision at Seneca.

In Arkansas Friday night, Week Nine of the Regular Season saw the Harrison Goblins get outscored by the Alma Airedales 32-26. The Goblins will have one final game to try and earn a 5A West Playoff Spot as they will host Morrilton next Friday.
