A front brought showers and thunderstorms to the area late Sunday afternoon and evening which signaled an end to the heatwave in the Ozarks.
While no storm damage was reported in the Lakes Region, the Springfield Metro area had several severe storms moving through knocking down trees there and in the Nixa/Ozark areas.
Rain chances will linger today with cooler air settling in for the week as highs will be in the 80s and overnight lows in the upper 50s.
No rain is in the forecast after today with dry conditions expected to continue into next week.
