A stretch of late-summer warmth will start the week across the Ozarks, followed by a significant increase in rain chances and cooler temperatures later in the week.
According to the National Weather Service, after highs in the mid-80s today, temperatures will be around 90 degrees for Tuesday and Wednesday.
The pattern becomes noticeably wetter and cooler beginning Thursday. The National Weather Service forecast for the Lakes Region calls for a 70% chance of precipitation Thursday, with a high around 83. Additional showers remain possible Friday through Sunday, while afternoon temperatures settle into the upper 70s.
