A busy weekend in the Lakes Region that includes Halloween, the turning back of the clocks to Standard Time, and the start of Ozark Mountain Christmas will have a variety of weather.
According to information released from the National Weather Service, trick-or-treaters across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas will need to keep an eye on a few scattered light showers, but Halloween is not expected to be a washout.
Temperatures will remain unusually mild, in the upper 70s to around 80 during the day and generally staying in the lower to middle 60s during the evening, with mostly cloudy skies and light winds. The National Weather Service notes there will be periods of dry weather between showers, allowing many communities a relatively comfortable evening for outdoor activities.
As time falls back an hour overnight, rain is expected to end in the region and the officials start of Ozark Mountain Christmas on Sunday is expected to see skies remain mostly cloudy with warm temperatures reaching the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Most of Monday is expected to be dry in the Lakes though rain chances are expected to return late Monday night and continue through the day on Tuesday.
