Kathleen (Kathy) Marie Schwyhart age 83 of CedarCreek Missouri passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on September 26, 2026.
She was born in St. Louis Missouri daughter of Charles and Hilda Willenburg. She graduated from Lakeland High School in St Louis Missouri. Kathy married John Schwyhart a native of Cedar Creek, in 1965. They had 4 children. After the passing of her husband, she went to work at Plantation Hills Nursing Home in Forsyth Missouri. While working at the nursing home she also attended classes at Omar Gibson Tech in Reeds Springs, Missouri and received her LPN degree. She was a nurse for 20 years at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Missouri. She retired at age 70 to enjoy time with her family, friends, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as with her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed watching the wildlife in her yard and taking pictures of all that nature had to offer. She loved planting and tending to her many flowers, as well as curling up with a good book on her sun porch. Living near Bull Shoals Lake, swimming was a favorite summer pastime especially with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be remembered for having a warm and friendly heart, a welcoming home to all, and for cooking for all that came to visit. She was a strong, stubborn, independent woman that was devoted to her family. Nothing brought her more joy than watching her family grow. Her face would light up whenever a grandchild or great grandchild would come visit.
She is survived by her sisters Jeanetta Schwyhart and Karen Welch; daughter Kirsten Davis (deceased) children Josh, Rosia, and Khristina; daughter Linda Rich (Jeff) of Florence, Alabama and children Rebecca, Terry “LT”, Jessica and Jarvis; daughter Shawnery Sands (Rick) of Kissee Mills, Missouri and children Johnathan, Ciarra, and Nate; son John “Buck” Schwyhart (Crystal) of CedarCreek, Missouri and children Daylan and Logan; bonus grandchildren, Chris and Corey and many loving great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband John Schwyhart, daughter Kirsten Davis, and grandsons Jonathon Davis and Zach Sands.
Visitation will be held at 1:00pm Saturday October 3, 2026, at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, 1638 East State Hwy 76 Branson Missouri 65616 followed by memorial services at 2:00pm. No burial site.
Kathy Schwyhart will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held on January 30, 2027, at the Taney Center 20130 US-160 Forsyth Missouri 65653 from 11:00am-3:00pm. All are welcome to celebrate with us. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit will live on through us forever.
