Leo Frank Kuberski, age 71, of Kimberling City, Missouri, passed away September 17, 2026. He entered this life on June 2, 1955, in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Alex and Margaret (Freed) Kuberski.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Betsy M. Caslin.
Leo was an avid gardener who found great joy in tending the earth and watching his efforts grow season after season. He approached his garden with patience, care, taking pride in every task, whether large or small. His love of growing flowers was one of the many ways he expressed his appreciation for life’s natural beauty, and his garden stood as a reflection of his steady hands and loving heart.
In addition to his gardening, Leo enjoyed collecting chicken figurines, a pastime that brought him delight and gave those around him a glimpse into his cheerful and playful side. His collection was a source of conversation and enjoyment, and it spoke to his ability to find happiness in the small and meaningful things that others might overlook.
Those who knew Leo will remember his dependable nature and the genuine interest he showed in the lives of others. He had a way of making people feel welcome and respected, and his thoughtful approach to life earned him the admiration of many. Whether he was sharing a story, admiring his garden, or enjoying one of his treasured figurines, he did so with a quiet joy that was unmistakably his own.
He is survived by his sons: Michael Kuberski, of Texas, George Kuberski, of Illinois, and John Kuberski, of Louisiana; sister, Bonnie M. Caslin, of Alexis, Illinois; niece, Jen Caslin, of Alexis, Illinois; nephew, Chris Caslin, of Elkhart, Illinois; and his most loved companion, Marla Murray, of Kimberling City, Missouri.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
