Lester Roy Parker, age 80, of Kissee Mills, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026.
Lester was born May 11, 1946, in Elmo, Missouri, to Lester Wesley and Della Marie Parker.
Lester proudly served his country as a United States Air Force veteran. He served for 7 years, 11 months and 23 days during the Vietnam War, from 1969–1977. He was stationed at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea and Mather Air Force Base in California, where he served as a Staff Sergeant.
Lester married Deborah (Dooley) Parker on July 3, 1980, in Maitland, Missouri. They were married for 42 years.
Lester enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening, and spending time with his family and his fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Della Parker; his wife, Deborah Parker; along with his six brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by his three sons, Shawn Parker of Kissee Mills, Missouri; Nathan Bower and his wife, Laura, of Kissee Mills, Missouri; and Doug Bower of Forsyth, Missouri; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and numerous friends.
Funeral services for Lester Roy Parker will be held at Lodge Church in Taneyville, Missouri, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m
