Erin Berry was a recent guest on Harrison’s Original KHOZ’s Around The Table. Berry is the founder of Sisters By Grace Ministries, which provides support and resources for families who have gone through the loss of a child. Berry lost two newborn daughters herself and seeks to share her story in order to bring hope to those going through similar tragedy.
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Last week Berry hosted a Wave of Light event at Red Oak Baptist Church as part of an international day of remembrance for children lost to miscarriage or stillbirth or during infancy. Candles were lit for one hour and families were invited to share about their babies. Berry noted on her Instagram account that she was filled with gratitude for each one who came to remember their children.
Wave of Light was first started in 2003 and is held every year on October 15th. Participants light candles at 7 p.m. local time, with a wave created across the globe as each subsequent time zone takes over to honor and remember babies lost too soon.
