BRANSON, Mo. — Hot, sunny weather will continue across the Branson and Tri-Lakes area through the weekend and early next week, but forecast models are hinting at a shift toward more fall-like temperatures later next week and into next weekend.
Friday will bring sunny skies and a high near 90 degrees, followed by a clear night with temperatures falling to around 59. Light southeast winds will develop during the afternoon before becoming calm in the evening.
Saturday offers a brief break from the heat, with increasing clouds and a high near 86. Mostly clear skies Saturday night will allow temperatures to drop to around 57.
The heat returns Sunday, when sunshine pushes the high back to around 90. Columbus Day and Tuesday look sunny and hot, with afternoon highs near 92 and overnight lows in the 60s.
A possible change begins Wednesday, with a chance of showers and a high near 89. Shower chances continue Wednesday night and Thursday, when the high is expected to be around 85.
Beyond that, forecast models suggest cooler air could bring more seasonable fall-like conditions heading into next weekend. The timing and strength of that cooldown remain uncertain, but the trend points toward relief from the persistent heat.
Rain chances also return during the transition, although it remains too early to determine how much rain the area could receive.
