The World’s Smallest Halloween Parade will take place this Saturday, October 24th, in Forsyth.
The parade, hosted by Integrity Heat & Air, the Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce and the Forsyth Police Department, starts at 4:30 p.m. and will travel approximately one and half blocks down Main Street in Forsyth. The procession begins at the intersection of Shadowrock Drive and Main Street, in front of Christan Action Ministries, and end at the Taney County Courthouse.
Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce President Tammy Rodman said she hopes folks will come out and join them this year.
“We really wanted to help Integrity Heat & Air expand on this parade they been doing for the last few years,” Rodman said. “It’s been great working with the Forsyth Police Department and Integrity to bring this together. We’d love for everyone to join us.”
The parade will be led by a mysterious, yet to be named Grand Marshal, who will be riding in the Dukes of Hazzard’s General Lee, and be followed by a single parade float featuring Integrity Heat & Air. Children are also encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes for the chance to walk in the parade. Parents will need to have their children outside the CAM office by 4:15 p.m.
Participating children are encouraged to show up in costume and be ready to get some candy at the truck or treat taking place in the courthouse parking lot immediately following the parade. Local individuals, businesses and organizations are invited to join in on the festivities by registering to pass out candy during the trunk or treat.
There is no charge to be a trunk or treat vendor, but registration is required. To register as a vendor, visit forsythmissouri.org/halloweenparade. Anyone with questions can email the chamber at forsythareachamber@gmail.com or send a direct message to the Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
