It’s not Halloween in Branson without a little Christmas.

On Saturday, October 31, the Branson Landing, in coordination with Silver Dollar City and the Branson Chamber of Commerce & CVB, invite the community to help kick off Branson’s Christmas season with the inaugural Branson Trick or Tree Parade.

The dual holiday festivities will feature the debut of Silver Dollar City’s 50-foot Grand Fir, which will be displayed at the 1880s theme park for its annual An Old Time Christmas Festival. The tree’s arrival at the north end of the Branson Landing (Belk), following a 2,000-mile trip from Portland, Oregon, will serve as the focal point of the 10 a.m. parade, according to press releases from the Branson Landing and Silver Dollar City respectively.

“What better way to kick off the best season in Branson than with a parade right down The Promenade,” Branson Landing Director of Marketing & Events Becky Blair said in the release. “Branson Landing has been a gathering place for our community for two decades, and we’re excited to bring everyone together for a celebration we hope will become a new annual tradition.”

Parade spectators are invited to fill the Branson Landing Promenade, cheer on their neighbors and celebrate the start of a season filled with Christmas memories. Silver Dollar City characters and hosts will lead the parade along the walkway between the Branson Landing storefronts, joined by local businesses with Christmas-themed entries. Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the parade.

“I love seeing the whole community come together to celebrate each other,” Blair said in a statement. “This Trick or Tree Christmas Parade joins the Branson Chamber, Silver Dollar City and Branson Landing, but it’s open to all of Branson — as parade participants and spectators. I’m excited to see this year come to fruition, but I’m even more excited to create a tradition for Branson in the years to come.”

Attendees will also have the opportunity to get photos with the Grand Fir, Santa Claus, Silver Dollar City entertainers, enter giveaways from Branson Landing, Silver Dollar City and more.

“There is simply no place on earth that celebrates Christmas quite like the Ozarks! This parade is a beautiful example of that spirit,” Silver Dollar City Senior Publicity Manager Brandei Clifton said. “From our neighbors and local businesses to the thousands of families who make Branson part of their holiday traditions, there’s something truly special about the way this community comes together to make Christmas magical.”

After the parade, the Grand Fir will travel down 76 Country Blvd. with a police escort to Silver Dollar City, where it will be decorated with nearly 30,000 lights and serve as the centerpiece of a nightly tree lighting ceremony from Saturday, November 7 through Saturday, January 2.

The parade will begin at the north end of the Branson Landing, next to Paula Deans Family Kitchen, and travel south toward Bass Pro Shops. For additional information on the event, visit here.
