Shane Lesley Brooks II, age 27, was born on November 16, 1998, in Topeka, Kansas, to Shane Brooks and Sandy M. Armer Brooks. He entered into rest on September 18, 2026, in Kissee Mills, Missouri.
Shane spent his younger years in Topeka, Kansas, where he graduated from Topeka High School. He later moved to Taney County, Missouri, to be closer to his family, pursue his work, and enjoy the outdoors and the hobbies he loved.
Shane had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed kayaking and fishing, as well as cutting timber. He loved spending time outside and had a special fondness for animals and the beauty of nature.
Shane will be deeply missed by his father, Shane Brooks, and stepmother, Tammy; his mother, Sandy Michelle Villegas, of Topeka, Kansas; his three brothers, Jonathan Good of Blue Eye, Mo., Thomas Cleamens, of Merriam Woods, Missouri, and Christopher Brooks of Lebanon, Missouri; his three sisters, Stacie Brooks of Parsons, Kansas, Macie Bamberry of Neosho, Missouri, and Carolyn Garduno of Branson, Missouri.
He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Donna Jean Shepherd of Bartlett, Kansas, and Mervin Brooks of Grove, Oklahoma; his maternal grandparents, Virginia and John Ruff of Lawrence, Kansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
Shane will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his adventurous spirit, and the memories he created with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo. Services will be announced at a later date.
