Ruth Ann Green, 75, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at Hiram Shaddox Health and Rehab facility.
Ruth Ann was born on February 26, 1951, in Wood, Pennsylvania, to William Hess and Bertha B. (Watkins) Hess. She was one of seven children and grew up surrounded by family, carrying that love for family throughout her life.
Ruth Ann was a proud retired United States Army veteran. Her service was an important part of her life and a testament to her strength, dedication, and commitment to others.
Above all, Ruth Ann loved her family dearly. She found joy in crafting and crocheting. She also loved thrifting and bargain hunting. Ruth Ann was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, William Hess and Bertha B. (Watkins) Hess; her brother, Edward Hess; and her brother-in-law, Claude Barton.
She is survived by her children, Valerie Curtis and her husband Brandon, Brian Green, William Green and his wife Belinda, and Warren Green and his wife Tracy; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Bill Hess and Jeannette, Laura Morningstar and her husband Randy, Myrtle Barton, Matthew Hess and his wife Charlie, and Penny Hess, along with numerous other family members and dear friends.
Ruth Ann will be remembered for her love of family, her creativity, her appreciation for a good bargain, and the many memories she created
with those she loved. Her life touched many people, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
