Joseph “Joe” Allen Johnson, 57, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, died August 19, 2026. He was born July 26, 1969, in Blythe, California, to James Ellis Johnson and Joan Johnson. Later in life, Erv and Ethel Binegar took him in and gave him a home, and he counted them as parents from then on.
Joe loved music, especially classic rock, and he played it himself on guitar and piano. Music ran through the whole family, and some of his best days were spent jamming with his brothers. He worked with his hands his whole life, on the farm and under the hood of a car. He was happiest with his brothers around him and his kids close by, and he never turned down a day of fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan Johnson; his brother, Lane Johnson; and his sister, Mary Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Christon Johnson and husband Steven Leimberg of Strafford, Missouri; Ashley Johnson of Harrison, Arkansas; Skyler Guillory and spouse Parker Guillory of Olvey, Arkansas; and Anastasia Johnson of Harrison, Arkansas; his parents, Erv and Ethel Binegar of Lead Hill, Arkansas; and his siblings, Charles Johnson of Harrison, Arkansas; his twin brother James Isaac Johnson and wife Michelle Johnson of Waterford, Michigan; Nelda Helmer of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Jackie Johnson and wife Sandra Johnson of Yellville, Arkansas. He also leaves behind Tracy Jeffries, the mother of three of his children and a lifelong friend.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 27, 2026, at noon, at the Old Ridgeway School House located on Ridgeway Loop in Harrison, Arkansas.
