According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred just after 9:00 pm on Highway 265, approximately one mile east of Branson.
The patrol says a 1972 Ford Mustang, driven northbound by a 54-year-old man from Carrollton, Ohio, failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned and crashed into a tree line.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported by Taney County Ambulance District to Cox Medical Center South for treatment.
The patrol report indicates he was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
